Accountability.

You may remember my post HERE about continually falling off the bandwagon. More then once. Hell more then twice....you get the idea.

I'm continually asking myself how much do I allow of this? I don't allow it in other areas of my life at all. So why would I do this to myself. To my actual body? The body that's birthed two children and has lots and lots of life left. Why treat it so terribly. Makes you wonder why it just doesn't connect some days.

But last night I got on the scale before going to Weight Watchers...well I almost passed out and instantly wanted to cry. For real. It was devastating. But, All the work I HAD put in out the window over what? Errrrr maybe a gallon of sangria? But really? Was it worth that instant feeling? Uh no. I could have had just as good of time without the gallon plus bottles of wine. Unless I wanna discuss this same conversation over and over again for the next 5 years. It stops here. Enough of abusing my body. Enough of putting everyone else first. Mommy guilt is one hell of a thing. But the guilt of leaving my amazing husband alone with our kids is far far worse. Yes that's extreme. But is it?

So shits getting real. Wednesday will now be a weekly post of Weigh in Wednesday.   Which means your getting the real numbers. So if I gained 15 lbs you will know. If I lose 15 lbs you will know.

So here's were we are starting.
228.4 was my official weigh in last night. I didn't take a pic.

But here's this am weigh in.

I also promise to paint my toes in an attempt to look a little better.

After today I'll attempt to get a Wednesday morning pic with my actual weigh in weight at night.

So after I weighed myself I  bitched to my husband who might I add just got done running on the treadmill. Suck up. So I promptly got dressed walked down to it and pushed out a mile. In 16 mins. With walking and running. It's been MONTHS since I've done any exercise so this big girl took it nice and slow. Ugh

You've been warned. I'm going to whine. Bitch. And hopefully inspire others. I'm sharing so I can be accountable to everyone. No excuses. Enough "I'll start tomorrow". It starts now. Or it started when I stepped on the scale last night.

Game on. I'm coming for you.

Decorating!!!

All the Christmas stuff is done. Wellllllll expect the porch. Oops! I'll get to it tomorrow. Anyways. I assume the next decorating holiday is Valentines day. I really don't have much and normally just do my mantle. Which is one of my favorite things in the house. We love the look of the stone. I've used this window for a while now. And just change it around during the holidays or seasons! It's so versatile! Oh and yes that's a moose or elk antler. Meh whichever! We love alllll antlers around here! Anyways, the owl is from Home goods, small jar beside it is from Marshall's, the fabulous candlesticks are from a yard sale, the tile is vintage and very old, wreath from Joanne's, the apothecary jar is from a company no longer in business and my favorite piece beside the window is a old porch thing ( I mean uh what is that even called?) support? Google is telling me it's called a "porch corbel"....from my husbands great grandparents families house. I would love 10 more. Such a great piece! Sign is from a little craft store and the "smith" burlap banner was a gift! Burlap is the bees knees.

After tackling that I moved to the staircase which to be honest has been pretty empty for uh shamefully 6 years. This will be a work in progress and collecting random eclectic items. I really like old unique things. None of those items are old. But it's a nice starting point. We need to re paint soon so I will have to take it down before I get too far but now I have some ideas. Thank you Pinterest! I would like some color or gasp.....chevron!?!

I still have tons to do. This is house is a continuing canvas. I would like decorative blinds in our living room at some point. Any recommendations?

Do you decorate for Holidays? It drives my hubs crazy! Lol! But he never says a word, other then, That looks wonderful. I love that man.

Also, since I'm looking for inspiration I've been pinning like crazy! Click on my Pinterest link to follow me!   Um....don't judge me. Yes it says 10.5k pins. I've been on Pinterest before it was cool.

The reason for the season

I posted a Facebook post that spurred some interesting conversation.

Have I mentioned I'm over fb?

Here's my op-

Let's get some things clear. I of course want to give my children the world. Plus some. Can I? No. Would I even if I could? Absolutely not. Christmas has become so commercialized and I'm over it. And refuse to teach my children that. What happened to spending time enjoying our families? Instead of being so stressed worrying about buying gifts? And spending so much money on things we won't remember? But the time spent as a family we will.

To us we celebrate Christmas for 2 reasons. 1st to celebrate Christ birth. I want them to know why we celebrate by giving. Since God gave his only son. And memories. My Christmas memories are some of the best. And I don't remember a single "thing".

I have tons of childhood Christmas memories spent shopping with my Dad for my Mom, looking at Christmas lights, baking goodies, all of our huge family stuffing into my Grandmas 110 degree house and eating Yankee pot pie at 1130 at night, my Poppys blue Christmas lights, getting engaged to my husband on Christmas. So many amazing memories. I hope that we're passing down memories they will share with their babies.

My wish for this year-

Christmas was my Dads favorite holiday. And it breaks my heart to know he isn't "here" to see them enjoy and make memories with. But I know he's with us.

My last wish-

I'll let you know how this one works out! Lol!!

Merry Christmas to you and your familes! May you make everlasting memories. May you enjoy each other. Spend the the time doing what's important. And not focused on the "things" or price tags. Remember why your celebrating. Be thankful for all your blessed with. And give to those who aren't.
