Birthday Parties.

My sweet boy turned 5 on Saturday. 5 years OLD. How that happened I have NO idea. 

So of course when you are 5 years old and in preschool and have a huge family you have to have a party! This year Lane requested a Party at our local bounce house.

 I thought about it..and thought about it...talked it over with hubs and decided it sounded perfect!! I had NOTHING to do. I didn't have to run around spending hours away from my family cleaning the house...or making pinterest-worthy party goodies, I didn't have to drop tons and tons of money on food. And let me tell you. It was so far my favorite party! I actually had the time to enjoy it! I enjoyed how much my kids and the hubs loved it. He was right in there with the kids! It was such a blast! And I couldn't have wished for a better party.

 I always feel anxious and so much pressure when we have parties at home....It takes me weeks to prepare and I just can't always find the time to get it all done. (Don't even give me "Well your a stay at home Mom, how do you not have time"). Running a business takes time as well. I'm not quite sure how working full time Moms get it all done. But my hats off to them! So it may not have had cute cupcake toppers, UH we had Glazed donuts (that's all my boy eats for sweets), No goody bags who keeps those anyways unless they have $,  I didn't even order the 5.00 a piece balloons...instead they had good ol' fashion fun, lifetime memories and I didn't have to waste hours making sure my house was clean enough. Speaking of "clean enough" for who?! WHY do we do this to ourselves?! And don't get me wrong. I have had tons of parties for the kids or anyone for that matter and have done all of these things. But not this year. This year was for fun. And fun we had!! I hope he remembers this party just the way I do.

 I do wish these birthdays would slow down. I need another baby. 



I'm starting the new play room! Were moving the playroom up to the extra room since the basement is done now ( I know, it needs a post!). I'm doing a chalkboard wall on one wall and painting the other 3. The old playroom will now be the MAN room and the office is moving up to the alcove (I have no idea why its called that) the area above the foyer. Ours is closed in. thank god because I'm a hoarder.   Now to clean out the playroom. I have NO idea where all of these toys came from!?!?!?!

1. My Baby boy will be 5 tomorrow. And I can't understand how? Where has 5 years gone?

Goodwill

Can we discuss the Goodwill? 

We have at least 5 in our area alone. I of course have a favorite. 

If you don't shop at Goodwill your missing out. 

I remember growing up or ok during my teenage years thinking ugh I'm never going to shop there! Yea right!!!!! Holy moly have I found some fantastic scores lately. Gap, Nike, Lilly Pulitzer, Under Armour, Ralph Lauren, Gymboree...the list goes on.... 

It's now become an obsession. To see what kind of deals I can find for as little as possible. I'm so amazed what people get rid of!  I'm looking for furniture really but I can't ever seem to find that. I do see it but in other peoples carts. Ha!!!! 

So that's my PSA for today. Check your goodwill out. You seriously never know what you will find! 

Don't judge my closet. At all. 

This fantastic leopard cardi is from Gap...bought at Goodwill for 5- oh and the green shirt underneath Goodwill scrore as well! For like 1.50 during 50% off! (Certain color tags change weekly!)

Dear Lane, 

 I can only imagine the sweet young man you have grown into. I picture you being a firefighter or police officer. You have always loved helping people and doing for others. I imagine you did well in school that you get from Daddy. Your a natural helper, a strong student and a good listener. Don't ever lose those qualities. 

 On your off days you own 30 days worth of lazy day clothes! Your wife has to remind you to get dressed I'm sure of it! 

Your sister and yourself are very close and you have chased off any potential husbands for her. Knowing the right one isn't found yet. Your bond is something I'm always in awe of. 

You will have had numerous things with motors, 4-wheelers, bikes, tractors....You love to drive and take it all in. I hope our ER visits aren't often. And you don't try  many "Americas Funniest Videos" or "Wipe Out" in your teens....

I love you baby boy. I hope you still look at me the way you do now when your 25.

Dear Charlotte, 

 Sigh...God Bless the man that marries you. Your a handful. On any given day. You are nothing short of the best and worst of your Daddy and I, but that alone will get you to exactly where you want to go. Your drive and determination will make things happen for you.

I'm not sure yet what I think you will be doing as an adult. I foresee something with animals, Your a natural with them. You have NO fear of any animal no matter what the size. 

I do think your brother will chase off any boys who aren't good enough for his Sissy. 

I also hope you will not be getting out of your bed 100 times per night for crazy things. Like worrying about your outfit for the next day!

I see you arguing with your teachers over something crazy. In the end I'm sure you will be right. 

I hope you will always want to get our nails painted together, drink Starbucks, shop and snuggle.

Weekend Recap!

BUSY BUSY BUSY! (Isn't this new new blog amazing?!) I seriously LOVE IT! Thanks again Leslie!

Lets see I think we have been to Home Depot or Lowes between Hubs and myself 6-7 since Friday. BUT I can safely say the basement is almost done. As in needs a few minor things completed. (Grout in the tile sealed, touch up paint, finish up the oven connection) ugh and finish the stairs! I stained them all today. They will need 1 more coat of stain and we are painting the risers. This is a trial for our upstairs steps! I would love to paint our risers as well!

So pretty much I never left the basement BUT to go to Lowes or Home Depot. Good times!

 I've changed the name kinda drastically. 
Lizzy was what my Poppy called me 
when I was little. 
My middle name is Elizabeth. 
He passed away when I was 7. 
But I have the fondest memories with him. 
I couldn't begin to put into 

Words how big of an impact his death had on me. 
Then to have my babies grow up with out 
my Dad is heart breaking. 

I searched and searched for the perfect name. 
This made the most sense. It felt like me.

My happy place... somewhere quiet. Odd right? If you know me in real life I'm not quiet. But anymore I crave some sort of "quietness" in my day. But I do love bedtime. Once the house is calm and quiet. And I mean when EVERYONE is in bed. Myself included. I happen to do my best pinning during that time!

So what if I.... I don't like mashed potatoes. I will never understand why this causes such a up roar.

My go-to fast food meal is... Mcdonalds. I love McDonalds fries. Reg cheeseburger, no onions no pickles and fries. and a coke. ha #fatgirlforlife

If I could... I would move to the middle of nowhere. With lots of land, a big ol house, our family, and a ton of animals....and live off the land. 

My personality is awesome because... I'm honest. 

Twerking is.... something my daughter better never learn.

I think it's super gross when... I see feet that are awful...I hate feet. All of them. 

Someone needs to tell Miley Cyrus.... to grow up. Or hell what do I care? Do whatcha want girl. Your not spending my money being ridic.
